Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have been linked with Lewis Morgan of St Mirren in the January transfer window.

According to The Daily Mail, Scottish Premiership side Celtic are interested in signing Morgan from Scottish Championship outfit St. Mirren.
Nottingham Forest and Preston North End in the Championship in England are also reported to be interested in the 21-year-old Scotsman.
Former Rangers striker Thompson has suggested why Scotland Under-21 international midfielder Morgan should not make the switch to Celtic.

Thompson said on BBC Sport Scotland Facebook live about Morgan: “I just worry about him going there and not playing, if he went to Celtic.
“Look at what has happened to Jonny Hayes, who’s a better player than Lewis is just now and has played at a constantly higher level. Would he just evaporate at Celtic, much like Ryan Christie?”

Meanwhile, Kris Commons has criticised the performances of Celtic central defenders Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic at the weekend.
Boyata and Simunovic featured for Celtic in their Scottish Premiership game against Heart of Midlothian away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
The two did not play well, as Hearts ran out 4-0 winners to bring an end to Brendan Rodgers’s side’s 69-game unbeaten run in domestic football in Scotland, leading former Celtic star Commons to criticise them.
Commons wrote in The Daily Mail: “Dedryck Boyata looked like a nervous wreck in the face of it. And that is the worst I have seen Jozo Simunovic play.”
