Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata’s future is uncertain.

Boyata has just one more year left on his current contract at Celtic, but there are doubts on whether the former Manchester City defender will stay at Celtic Park beyond this summer.
According to The Daily Record, Spanish club Sevilla and Italian side Lazio are interested in signing the Belgium international centre-back.
Dedryck Boyata’s agent, Jacques Lichtenstein, has revealed to The Daily Mail that Celtic have turned down offers for the defender already this summer and has criticised the Glasgow giants.
Former Rangers striker Thompson has suggested that Celtic should sell the 27-year-old Boyata in the summer transfer window.
The BBC Sport pundit has also given his take on Rangers’ chase of Heart of Midlothian striker Kyle Lafferty, as reported by The Belfast Telegraph.
Thompson told BBC Sport Scotland on Facebook regarding Lafferty to Rangers speculation: “It wouldn’t be the worst piece of business Rangers can do.”
“I think in the last year of his contract, if you are going to get over £5 million for him, I would take that money,” Thompson told BBC Sport Scotland on Facebook about Boyata’s future.

Dedryck Boyata exit?
Boyata is a good defender and is a key player for Celtic, and the Hoops could struggle without the Belgium international.
However, there is still time for the Hoops to sign a suitable replacement, and perhaps the Scottish Premiership side should look into bringing someone.
As for Lafferty, the former Rangers striker would be a very good addition to Steven Gerrard’s current team at Ibrox, especially as he knows what it means to play for the club and can score in big matches.
