Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers will face Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox, and former Gers striker Steven Thompson back the Hoops to win the Old Firm derby.

Graeme Murty’s Rangers will face Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at home in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
Former Rangers striker Thompson, who was on the books of the Gers from 2003 until 2006 and won the league title twice with the Ibrox club, believes that the home team will lose.
The 39-year-old former Scotland international striker has also hailed James Forrest, claiming that the 26-year-old Celtic winger is the best player in Scotland right now.

Thompson wrote in The Herald: “I just fancy that Celtic will come out on top in a high-scoring game.”
“James Forrest, for me, is the best player in Scotland right now,” added Thompson.

Tight match
Celtic have some of the best players in Scotland and Forrest has been superb for the Hoops so far this season, but Rangers will fancy their chances of winning the Old Firm derby this weekend.
The Gers are in great form at the moment, and with the likes of Alfredo Morelos and Jason Cummings playing well, the Ibrox faithful will be confident of the team breaching the Celtic citadel at least once.
