Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has yet to make his debut for Scotland.

Cooper was part of the Scotland squad that took on the Netherlands in the friendly international match at the Pittodrie Stadium.
The 26-year-old defender, who can operate as a central defender or as a left-back, was an unused substitute in the match.

The former Hull City man has been called up to the Scotland squad on more than one occasion, but he has yet to make his debut for the national team.
Former Rangers and Scotland international striker Thompson believes that Cooper should have been given at least 45 minutes against the Netherlands.
Thompson has also suggested that the Leeds star could be the solution to Scotland’s defensive issues.

“I thought he should have been given at least 45 minutes last night along with a lot of other people,” Thompson has BBC Sport Scotland Facebook live (November 10, 2017) about Cooper. “He wasn’t, but let’s hope that in the future he is.
“It’s a position in the team where we definitely need to find a solution, and you never know, he might be the solution.”
Leeds are 10th in the Championship table at the moment with 23 points from 16 matches, three points behind sixth-placed Aston Villa.
