Celtic eased past St. Johnstone with an excellent 6-0 win away from home.

Steven Thompson and Kris Commons have both heaped praise on Celtic playmaker Tom Rogic after the left-footed maestro shined against St. Johnstone in the Hoops’ excellent 6-0 win at McDiarmid Park.
James Forrest stole the plaudits after scoring four goals, while Odsonne Edouard and Callum McGregor also got their names on the score sheet in an emphatic victory.
But it was Rogic that masterminded the victory, playing a part in most of the goals and landing himself three assists, all of which came to feed Scotland international Forrest.
Former Rangers striker Thompson and ex-Celtic star Commons applauded Australia international Rogic, who looked to have returned to his excellent best on Sunday.
Thompson told BBC Sportscene: “I think Tom Rogic can take a lot of the credit for his performance, he was absolutely outstanding. All of the goals Forrest scored today, Rogic was involved.
“He is a player that Celtic have missed because at times they have struggled for that creativity, but he unlocks defences with his quality. These are defence-splitting passes, and Celtic have struggled with that this season.”

Commons claimed in his Daily Mail column: “Forrest is really good mates with Tom Rogic off the pitch. That was Rogic’s best game in a long time and it was no surprise to see them playing so well together. They do well in tandem.”
The 40-time international, who has a contract at Celtic until the summer of 2023, had previously struggled to make an impact this season with only two goals and no assists in 14 league and cup appearances.
But as Celtic continue to improve, manager Brendan Rodgers will be hoping Rogic is set to return to his best form as he jets off to represent Australia in the international break. The Socceroos face Kuwait on Monday, with Rogic likely to partner Celtic teammate Daniel Arzani who has also been called up.
