Carlisle United manager Steven Pressley says that he wants to sign Aston Villa’s Callum O’Hare on loan.

Pressley has also raved about the 20-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a striker.
The Carlisle boss has further said that O’Hare is an ideal replacement for 23-year-old Jack Sowerby, who is set to return to his parent club Fleetwood Town after his loan spell at the League Two outfit came to an end at the weekend.
Pressley told The News & Star about O’Hare: “I’ve seen him a number of times at Villa, because of my son’s connections there [Pressley’s son Aaron is on Villa’s books].
“I’ve always been very impressed with him. He’s an exciting player who can score goals and break from the midfield.
“He’s an ideal replacement for the likes of Jack Sowerby and he’s a player we’re really interested in. Hopefully we can move on with that one.”

Good move for Callum O’Hare?
O’Hare has made only a handful of appearances for the Villa first team in his career so far, but the 20-year-old will struggle to play regularly for the Villans during the second half of the season.
It does make sense for the 20-year-old to switch to League Two outfit Carlisle on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Pressley’s side are challenging for automatic promotion to League One at the end of the season, and O’Hare will play in a competitive environment in a very competitive team.
