Sunderland lost to Middlesbrough in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Sunderland attacker Steven Pienaar has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Middlesbrough at home on Sunday afternoon.
The Black Cats lost 2-1 to Boro at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League. Cristhian Stuani put Aitor Karanka’s side in the lead in the 13th minute and added a second on the stroke of half time.
Patrick van Aanholt halved the deficit for Sunderland on 71 minutes, but Middlesbrough held on for the three points.
Sunderland’s Lynden Gooch looks dejected
Pienaar, who recently joined Sunderland on a free transfer after leaving Everton at the end of last season, did not start against Middlesbrough.
The 34-year-old, who can play as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, came on as a substitute in the 37th minute.
The South African has taken to Twitter to admit his disappointment at the final result, but the former Tottenham Hotspur attacker is happy to have made his debut for Sunderland.
Sunderland midfielder Lynden Gooch, who is 20 years of age, has also taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the defeat for David Moyes’s side.
