Steven N’Zonzi hints at Premier League return. Should Everton make a move for him?
Steven N’Zonzi has established himself as a key player for Sevilla over the years since he left Stoke City in 2015.
In two seasons at the La Liga club, he has made 61 league appearances, scoring five goals. The 28-year-old midfielder has a contract at the La Liga club till 2020, but he is open to playing in the Premier League again.
The former Blackburn Rovers midfielder, who made his France debut in Friday’s 2-0 win over Wales, has said that he would like to experience the Premier League again.
His comments could ignite interest among other Premier League clubs. Could Everton be interested in making a move for him?
Morgan Schneiderlin has performed below-par this season, and N’zonzi could be a good option if Everton want to replace him or to add competition.
Everton probably cannot offer him the Champions League platform, but N’zonzi will get regular football, something he may not get at a club like Manchester City.
He would add depth and quality to the current Everton side, and the club should at least make an attempt to sign him, either in January or next summer.
