Norwich City attacker Steven Naismith has told the Daily Mail that he hasn’t thought about re-joining Rangers – but may consider returning in the future.
Naismith, 30, joined Rangers from Kilmarnock back in 2007, and enjoyed a fruitful spell at Ibrox with 33 goals in 140 games to his name.

The Scotland international – who has scored seven times in 45 games for his country – did leave Rangers under something of a cloud in 2012 though, having refused to stay with the club following their liquidation and demotion.
Naismith instead moved to Everton on a free transfer, and then to Norwich in January 2016, where his switch to Carrow Road hasn’t really paid dividends.
The Scot hit just five goals and three assists in 29 games for Norwich this past season, and his future in East Anglia has been called into question in recent weeks.

The Express recently reported that Naismith was open to re-signing for Rangers this summer, with manager Pedro Caixinha looking to rebuild the Ibrox club with a host of new signings.
Now, Naismith has told the Daily Mail that he hasn’t even though about returning to Rangers, but may consider heading back to Glasgow if the option ever arises in the future.

The forward added that he is focusing on his Norwich future, and is hoping to impress new Canaries boss Daniel Farke during pre-season training, meaning Gers fans shouldn’t expect a Naismith return any time soon.
“I have two years left at Norwich,” said Naismith. “They have said that if there are circumstances where I can move on and it’s right for everybody, it could happen. But a new manager (Daniel Farke) has come in. It’s a clean slate for everyone, so hopefully I can impress the new manager and try to be in his plans.”
“I’ve not even thought of Rangers. I’ll think about Rangers if it was ever an option but I’m not thinking about that at the moment. I’ll come back to Scotland one day. Whether it’s to play golf or play for the local amateur team, I’ll come back,” he added.
