Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers finished second behind champions Celtic last season.

The Gers finished second in the Scottish Premiership table last season, as Celtic won the league title for the eighth year in a row.
The Gers, though, did push the Hoops until the mid-season winter break, but after that, the Ibrox club could not keep up with the Bhoys.
As reported by The Daily Record, new summer signing George Edmundson has said that he wants to win the Scottish Premiership title, while midfielder Andy Halliday has stated that the Gers are ready to challenge Celtic.
Rangers manager Gerrard has suggested that the Ibrox players should be careful about what they say about challenging Celtic.
Gerrard told The Daily Record: “We can’t not win anything this season, that’s the reality. But I think players should be careful what they say. I don’t mind people that are confident and ambitious.
“But, for me, it’s important the players understand that it’s the easy part doing interviews and saying we’ve got to do this or that. hey’ve got to go and prove it on a football pitch consistently.”

Challenging Celtic
Rangers fans are very demanding, and the Ibrox faithful will want the team to challenge the Hoops for the league title next season.
It is going to be extremely hard for the Gers, but Rangers have made some good signing, and the fans should be confident.
