Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are among a number of clubs interested in signing departing Manchester United youngster Dion McGhee, according to The Daily Star.

West Ham United, Watford, Derby County, Benfica, FC Porto, Nice and AZ are also interested in the 19-year-old attacking midfielder, according to the report.

Earlier this week, the teenager announced on Twitter that he will leave Premier League giants United at the end of the month when his current contract runs out.

The Manchester Evening News has reported that McGhee has already spoken to clubs in Italy, Spain, Portugal, as well as with teams in the Championship and the Premier League.

Rangers in the Scottish Premiership are among the clubs interested in signing McGhee, according to The Daily Star.

Good signing for Rangers?

McGhee is a very good and promising young attacking midfielder who would be a good signing for Rangers on a free transfer, especially in the long run.

As stated on United’s official website, the teenager ‘has fine control and a neat touch’, and he can only get better and improve in the coming years.
