Rangers boss Steven Gerrard was his assertive self during the Ibrox side’s media gathering on Tuesday.

Steven Gerrard’s latest Rangers press conference has caused a bit of a stir among the Liverpool support base.
The Rangers manager made headlines at Tuesday’s media gathering, interrupting Jordan Rossiter’s response to a question Gerrard thought should have instead been aimed at him.
Gerrard had vowed after Rangers’ League Cup semi-final defeat on Sunday to replace any player who consistently fails to perform while on the big stage.
And after Rossiter was asked what effect those comments might have on he and his Rangers colleagues – be it motivational or other – the legendary ex-Liverpool captain was quick to butt in.
“I’ll answer that,” asserted Gerrard. “It’s a warning.
“It’s for me that [question], not him. He’s been injured for two years.
“At a big club, you expect big players to step up on big occasions and provide big moments. If that doesn’t happen, at any big club, the manager and the recruitment [team] they find better players or players who will do that.”
And although Gerrard has only worked in senior management for less than six months, the following Liverpool fans can already envisage a future for him back at Anfield.
Gerrard’s Rangers remain something of a work in progress domestically – sitting fifth in the Scottish Premiership standings – but continue to excel in Europe, where they are unbeaten in 11 matches this campaign.
The 38-year-old spent around two thirds of his life associated with Liverpool, whom he left for Los Angeles Galaxy in 2015, before returning as a coach.
