Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is reportedly keen on bringing the Liverpool striker to Ibrox this summer.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with St Mirren at Ibrox on Sunday, and responded when asked whether there was any truth in the rumours linking Dominic Solanke with a switch to the club this summer, as quoted by RANGERS TV.
Gerrard has begun his tenure at Ibrox in earnest, bringing in 11 new faces this summer, but there is definitely room for another striker.
The Gers finished in third position in the Scottish Premiership table last season, a distant 12 points adrift of bitter rivals and league winners Celtic.
Gerrard’s Rangers side are being backed to close the gap on Brendan Rodgers’ men this season, however.
The Scottish Sun reported earlier this summer that Gerrard is keen to sign Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke, in an effort to add more of a cutting edge to his side’s attacking play.
The Rangers boss sat down for his pre-match press conference today, and responded when asked whether he would be bringing Liverpool hitman Solanke into Ibrox before the transfer window in Scotland slams shut on August 31st, as quoted by RANGERS TV:

“It’s speculation, it’s just speculation.”
The Light Blues could undoubtedly do with one more forward player before the transfer window slams shut, and despite Gerrard’s evasive response, it would not be a surprise to see the Liverpool front-man plying his trade at Ibrox this season.
