Rangers boss Steven Gerrard sat down for an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, and bullishly declared that he wants to achieve something special during his stint in charge at Ibrox.
The Gers have made a decent start to life under Gerrard, and currently sit in third spot in the Scottish Premiership table, two points adrift of league leaders Celtic.
They are also still in with a chance of qualifying from their Europa League group.
Gerrard has undoubtedly instilled a certain level of discipline and accountability into the Rangers players, and they seem to be well in the mix for the league title this season.
The Gers boss spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail, and insisted that he wants to achieve something special during his time in charge at Ibrox:
“Winning as a player is fantastic, winning as a manager now is a great buzz. Winning a trophy as a player? Now that’s special, incredible. And I would love to be in a position where I experience that as a manager. That is what I want. I want to win a trophy — achieve something special.”
Next up for Rangers is a home game against Livingstone on November 24th, and it would take a brave man to bet against Gerrard’s men chalking up their third consecutive league victory.
