Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard seems to rate Ibrox striker Alfredo Morelos highly.

The Liverpool legend made the comments about Rangers striker Morelos following the Gers’ 3-0 win against Livingston at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
Morelos came on as a substitute to score the second goal for Rangers in the 83nd minute.
Rangers manage Gerrard was impressed with the performance of the 22-year-old striker, and has made it clear that he does not want to lose the Colombia international striker, who joined Rangers from HJK Helsinki in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £1.5 million.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun when asked how good Morelos can be: “I’m not going to name any of the players I played with because I don’t think it’s fair on Alfredo.
“What I will say is I’ll fight tooth and nail to keep him here for as long as possible. From day one I’ve told everyone I love him. That hasn’t changed, in fact it’s growing.
“I want to keep him here as long as possible because he makes my job a lot easier. I’ll fall out with people to keep him here. That’s how much I like him.”
Message for Rangers board?
Gerrard’s aforementioned comments could be a message for the Rangers board making it clear that Morelos is not a player who should be sold.
In January 2018, Sky Sports reported that Beijing Renhe had made an offer of £7 million for Morelos.
Given the youngster’s form and talent, there could be offers for him in January 2019 or next summer, but Gerrard clearly does not want to lose him.
