The Ibrox hero has been in sensational form for Rangers this season.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s 1-1 draw with Aberdeen yesterday, and suggested that Alfredo Morelos deserves international recognition for his performances this season, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
The 22-year-old has been quite simply superb for the Gers this season, chalking up 28 goals and 11 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions, and he has firmly established himself as the Scottish Premiership’s most feared striker.
Rangers currently sit in second spot in the Scottish Premiership table, eight points adrift of league leaders Celtic, and if they are to have any chance whatsoever of toppling their bitter rivals this season, Morelos will have to be on his best form between now and the end of the season.
When speaking to reporters, Gerrard praised the striker, who has earned just one cap for Colombia, suggesting that he deserves more recognition from his country for his performances this season, as quoted by the Scottish Sun:

“I haven’t heard from him. He asked for my number recently, which I passed on, but I haven’t heard from Carlos just yet. He is more than welcome to come and watch Alfredo. I am sure he has watched him from afar and really liked what he has seen. I think if anyone deserves an international call-up it is Alfredo Morelos.”
Morelos will surely not have to wait too long for another call-up to the Colombia squad, if he keeps performing for Rangers in the same manner that he has done already this season.
