Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers will face Neil Lennon’s Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Gerrard has disclosed what Rodgers, who left Celtic for Leicester in the Premier League in February 2019, suggested to him regarding the Hoops and Rangers during the winter break in Dubai.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun: “You’d have to ask Celtic if they fear us more now than they did before. But speaking to Brendan in Dubai during the winter break, I certainly got that impression. Listening to their interviews, reading between the lines, I think there’s a lot more respect for this Rangers team now.”

Rangers are better than last season
Rangers may have failed to challenge Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title this season, but the Gers have improved under manager Gerrard this campaign.
The Ibrox club have already secured the second place in the Scottish Premiership table, and some of their football has been brilliant.
In the Old Firm derbies as well, Rangers have stepped up and have shown that Celtic simply cannot walk over them.
Rangers will take on Celtic at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
If the Gers win today, then it will set them up nicely for next season and will give them belief that they can give Celtic a run for their money for the Scottish Premiership title in 2019-20.
