Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur won in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Liverpool legend made the suggestion following Tottenham’s 3-0 victory over Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Speaking during the post-match coverage on BT Sport 1 (7:38pm, December 23, 2017), the former Liverpool midfielder said: “I think Tottenham in general do need a couple of players.
“If you compare Tottenham’s squad to teams above, I do think they lack one or two in terms of strength and depth.”

Tottenham do have a good squad, but the North London outfit could do with a couple of players to make it better.
The problem that Spurs would face in the January transfer window is that they could struggle to find quality players who would want to come.

Not many top players would be happy to be a squad player. Moreover, Spurs may not actually get too many good players in the middle of the season.
What Tottenham could do is sign young and talented players, maybe in their early 20s.
Tottenham’s chances of winning the Premier League title this season are gone, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side can certainly finish in the top four, just as they have done for the past two campaigns.
