Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are due to take on Osijek in the Europa League tomorrow, as Steven Gerrard looks to guide his side into the next round.

Steven Gerrard is unveiled as the new manager of Rangers football Club at Ibrox Stadium on May 4, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has confirmed that Umar Sadiq is progressing well in his bid to make his debut for the Ibrox side.

Sadiq joined Rangers on loan from Roma this summer, but he has been kept in reserve so far.

The young striker showed his quality in a friendly match against Wigan, as he scored in Rangers’ 3-0 victory.

But he is yet to make his debut, as Gerrard feels that he is not quite up to match speed.

Sadiq has been working hard in training and Gerrard confirmed that the forward is edging closer to making his much anticipated Rangers debut.

Gerrard also suggested that a number of his Rangers squad are currently on the treatment table.

Rangers’ next match comes against Osijek in the Europa League tomorrow evening.

Rangers picked up a 1-0 win in the first-leg, and have a healthy advantage ahead of the match at Ibrox.
