Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are set to play another Europa League qualifying match next week.

Steven Gerrard manager of Rangers looks on during the UEFA Europa League Qualifying Round match between Rangers and Shkupi at Ibrox Stadium on July 12, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told the Daily Record that he could hand Lassana Coulibaly or Umar Sadiq their debuts for the Ibrox side next week.

Rangers made it through in Europa League qualifying in midweek, and are now set to take on Petrocub or Osijek.

Coulibaly and Sadiq will both be registered in time to play in the match for the Gers.

And Gerrard has suggested that the pair could play, if they can prove their fitness.

“I think he [Sadiq] will be available but where he will be in terms of fitness we will have to wait and see,” Gerrard said.

“Those lads [Sadiq and Coulibaly] are probably on day eight or nine so I can’t put them in when they are not ready. But they are going to be with us moving forward.”

If Sadiq and Coulibaly do prove their fitness for Rangers then that could be a boost for Gerrard.

Rangers have not looked particularly impressive in either of their first two competitive matches against Shkupi.

Gerrard’s side won 2-0 against the Macedonian side at Ibrox, before drawing 0-0 with them in the away leg.

Gerrard has already bemoaned Rangers’ lack of cutting edge in the final third, and Sadiq’s inclusion could help them in that regard.
