Rangers have brought defender Filip Helander to Ibrox.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told Rangers TV that the club have paid £3milion to sign Bologna defender Filip Helander – cheaper than first experience.
The Gers hammered Marseille 4-0 at Ibrox this afternoon, with Daniel Candeias bagging a brace, before Connor Goldson and Jermain Defoe wrapped up the win.
It may have only been a friendly, but it was a superb performance from Rangers, on the day that they were able to present new signing Helander.
The Swedish international centre back joined from Bologna on Saturday, completing a move to Ibrox having fallen out of favour with the Serie A side.
Helander, 26, is a towering defender at 6ft 4in tall, and he will now go in and compete with Goldson, Nikola Katic and fellow new signing George Edmundson.
The former Malmo and Hellas Verona defender was presented at Ibrox today, and boss Gerrard commented on his move after the full time whistle against Marseille.
Gerrard hailed Helander for his attributes, believing he has the size and ability on the ball to make a huge impact, whilst revealing that Rangers paid £3million for him.

That’s considerably less than first expected, as Aftonbladet reported just days ago that the fee would be around £4.2million, so Rangers may well feel they’ve got themselves a bargain.
“You can see straight away he’s a huge profile, I think you need that up in Scotland,” said Gerrard. “He’s 6ft 4in, he can defend the box aerially. He’s a left-footer so he gives us something we haven’t got, he gives us that natural balance, where we will be able to play a back three if needed. He can handle the ball, he’s an international player and he’s another leader, I don’t feel we have enough voices on the pitch.”
“We want him to help us organise and keep clean sheets and defend the goal for his life. For the amount of money we’ve paid, £3m, we believe we’ve got an excellent player,” he added.
