Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers ran out 3-0 winners over Hearts, with Steven Gerrard’s prediction coming true.

Rangers ran out 3-0 winners at Ibrox yesterday, and Gerrard’s prediction came true – with the Canadian international rounding off the scoring in the second half.
Arfield put in an excellent display in a more advanced position for Rangers, and Gerrard was very pleased with the summer signing’s contribution.
“Scott’s a clever player, he can play anywhere,” Gerrard said. “On the right or the left, as an eight or a 10. I was very pleased with his performance. He got his goal, which I predicted when I spoke to him.
“I said that you’ll be close to a goal, you’ll get more chances, so credit to him.”

Rangers needed the win last night to end their poor run of form, which has seen them tumble away from Celtic.
Gerrard’s side went into the game without a win in five, but thoroughly dominated last night.
Rangers were 2-0 in front early on when Jermain Defoe and Conor Goldson both found the back of the net and they never looked back.
Rangers are next in acton on Sunday, when they take on Motherwell at Fir Park.
