The Rangers boss has impressed in his role in charge at Ibrox.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard sat down for an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, and insisted that he must be aware of controlling his emotions as he begins his fledgling career in football management.
The former Liverpool and England captain always played with raw emotion – something that he believes he cannot allow to happen now that he is a manager.
Gerrard has made a decent start to life in charge of Rangers, guiding his side to third spot in the table – two points adrift of league leaders Celtic, and overseeing the Glasgow giant’s longest ever unbeaten run in Europe.
The 38-year-old spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail, and admitted that one of his biggest challenges as Rangers boss will be keeping his emotions in check:

“I’m not one who could put on the poker face. I never have been. I have to be aware I must control my emotions a lot more. It’s not about me now. It was about me when I played. Now the challenge is to get a group as right as I can, using my journey and experiences to help them.”
Rangers are well and truly in the mix for the Scottish Premiership title, and if Gerrard does manage to guide his side to a major trophy this season, his stock within the game will rise beyond all recognition.
