Rangers picked up a 2-0 win over Celtic at Ibrox this afternoon.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told The Scottish Sun that he’s ‘satisfied’ with what he’s heard from chairman Dave King about the club’s plans moving forward.
The Gers took on bitter rivals Celtic in the latest Old Firm derby today, and whilst Celtic had already won the league title, picking up a win over the Bhoys was still important.
Rangers were by far the better side, showing great desire throughout, and they got off to the perfect start as James Tavernier’s free kick went all the way in at the back post.
Gerrard’s side dominated the game and ended up grabbing a second, as Jermain Defoe dummied Glen Kamara’s pass, allowing Scott Arfield to nip in and score.
Rangers saw out the game, picking up three points and a clean sheet whilst only allowing Celtic one shot on target in the entire game.
It’s ultimately inconsequential in terms of the title, with Celtic already champions, but it’s another win over the Bhoys as Gerrard looks to build momentum with his side.

Gerrard has commented on the plans for the future, admitting that he has held talks with chairman Dave King about the summer plans, noting that ‘everything’s okay’ and he’s ‘satisfied’ with what he heard from King.
“We’ve had a couple of meetings over the last couple of days and everything’s okay,” said Gerrard. “I’m satisfied with what I’ve heard. We’ve analysed the season together, it was very positive. The end of the season has come at a bad time for us as we’re in a great place, we’re in good shape. But it’s important we rest, physically and mentally, then we get ready for next season. We need next season to be big and everyone’s got to be a part of that,” he added.
That will involve bringing in new signing and letting fringe players ago, and whilst Gerrard may not have a huge budget, Rangers will need more clever business – like the January signing of Glen Kamara.
