The Gers played out a 1-1 draw with Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen away from home in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals on Sunday afternoon.
The result means that Rangers will face Aberdeen at Ibrox in the replay later.
Sam Cosgrove put the home team in the lead as early as the 11th minute when he found the target from the penalty spot.
Joe Worrall, signed on loan from Nottingham Forest in the Championship in the summer of 2018, scored the equaliser for Rangers just four minutes into the second half.
Rangers’ performance improved in the second half, and manager Gerrard has revealed what he told his players at half time.
Gerrard told Rangers’ official website: “In the second half, we asked them to play a bit more, and when we get it, play them, keep moving, keep hurting them – and I thought we looked a lot more of a threat in the second half and we looked a lot more like us.”
