Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have won their last four games on the bounce.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard loooks on from the stand during the Ladbrokes Premier League match between Motherwell and Rangers at Fir Park on April 07, 2019 in Motherwell, Scotland.

Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told the Herald Scotland that some of his squad at Ibrox have relaxed.

Rangers have been in good form of late, winning their last four matches.

But Gerrard still thinks that some of Rangers’ players are playing within themselves.

He said: “There are a few people in and around my squad who think the season’s done and they’ve come off the gas and it’s my job to make sure that doesn’t happen, or if those people want to do that they won’t be anywhere near my team and the team I want to take forward.”

Rangers picked up their victory over Aberdeen thanks to two goals from James Tavernier from the penalty spot.

The full-back was deadly from 12 yards, as Rangers prevented Celtic from lifting the Scottish Premiership trophy for another week.

It is not quite clear which players Gerrard was alluding to when he made his warning, but Rangers are clearly looking to keep up their winning streak.

The Light Blues can no longer be caught up by any side below them, but Gerrard wants to carry momentum into next campaign.

Rangers are next in action on Sunday when they take on Hibernian at Ibrox.
