Alfredo Morelos scored for Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers at Ibrox this afternoon.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Gerrard made the comments following Rangers’ 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
Morelos scored the equaliser for the Gers in the 64th minute of the encounter, as Rangers’ chances of winning the Scottish Premiership title this season have diminished.
The 22-year-old Colombia international has now scored 17 goals in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers this season, according to WhoScored.
After the match, Rangers manager Gerrard admitted that the Gers are over-reliant on the youngster, and that he need to fix it.
Gerrard told Rangers’ official website about Morelos: “He took his goal really well, but we are over reliant on him at the minute so it is my job to try and fix that.
“It is quite clear that I need to try and help the squad and the team in the final third, and I know that and at the right time, I’ll try and address that.”

Stats
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon, hosts Rangers had 39% of the possession, took nine shots of which seven were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.
Rangers are now seven points behind leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have a game in hand.
