Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has told the club’s official Twitter page that he will not sell Ryan Kent amid reported interest from Leeds United.

Leeds are interested in signing Kent from Rangers in the summer transfer window, according to The Times.

The report has claimed that the West Yorkshire outfit, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion, have made an offer of £10 million for the former Liverpool winger.

Rangers manager Gerrard has said the Ibrox club have turned down Leeds’s opening offer for the winger, and has made it clear that he wants him to stay at the club.

Rangers stay

While Rangers do have a number of wingers, such as Jordan Jones and Brandon Barker, in their squad, Kent is a very good wide player who is better than some of the other players in that position.

Even though Leeds could return with a new and improved offer, it would make sense for Rangers to keep hold of Kent, as he will play an important role in the Gers’ quest to stop bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic from winning the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th season in a row in 2020-21.
