The Gers got the better of St Mirren 4-0 at home in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
Defender James Tavernier scored twice for Rangers, and Bournemouth-owned striker Jermain Defoe and Liverpool-owned winger Ryan Kent found the net once each.
Both the goals from Tavernier were from the penalty spot, while Defoe’s strike was also a penalty kick.
In fact, Rangers were awarded four penalties at Ibrox, with right-back Tavernier guilty of missing one.
Rangers are now just three points behind leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have a game in hand.
It was a good result for Rangers, but manager Gerrard was not happy with the performance in the first half.

Gerrard told Rangers’ official Twitter page: “I am disappointed with the first-half performance. I thought we were little bit off it.
“I thought we looked a little bit lethargic, and we forgot to do the basics that are required of football matches that are a big club, which is to run hard, be aggressive, make tackles, do the ugly bits.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon, hosts Rangers had 53% of the possession, took 25 shots of which 11 were on target, and earned eight corners, according to BBC Sport.
