Ryan Kent is on loan at Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers from Liverpool.
Ryan Kent of Rangers
Kent joined Rangers on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Liverpool in the summer of 2018.
The 22-year-old winger has made 21 starts and two substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for the Gers so far this season, scoring six goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
Rangers manager Gerrard has made it clear that he wants the former England Under-20 international at the Gers next season, and has revealed that he has spoken to Liverpool about his desire.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun: “I’ve made it clear how much I want Ryan to come back but they didn’t need that meeting to know that, because I’ve said that before.
“With Ryan it’ll boil down to what the player wants and whether Liverpool are happy to deliver that.
“All we can do is make sure we’re at the table and I can assure everyone that we’re at the table with an offer.
“Whether the player wants that, whether Liverpool want that, we’ll have to wait and see, but it was important for me to speak to Liverpool and let them know we’re interested.”

Rangers stay?
Kent is a very good and promising young winger, but given the quality that Liverpool have in their attacking unit, it is going to be hard for the youngster to establish himself in Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup next season.
The winger is playing well for Rangers at the moment and is progressing well, and it does make sense for him to stay at Ibrox for the 2019-20 campaign and continue his development.
