Steven Gerrard has said to the Daily Record that Greg Docherty’s time at Glasgow Rangers is up.
Docherty has tried to fight for a place at Ibrox, but the writing now seems on the wall for the Rangers midfielder.
The Scot simply hasn’t been able to break into Gerrard’s starting line-up over the past two seasons, and the Rangers boss now admits that Docherty won’t make the grade, with Ross McCrorie also close to sealing a move away.
“We are waiting for Greg to make a decision. Hull are at the table with a good deal and opportunity for him,” Gerrard said.
“It’s not going to work for Greg at Rangers, so we are waiting on his decision.
“Ross [McCrorie] is close. He has a couple of options on the table. Again, we are waiting for a decision really.”

Docherty actually only ever played 19 times for Rangers over the three seasons he was at the club.
Despite impressive loan spells at both Shrewsbury Town and Hibernian, Gerrard has never seemingly been won over by the 23-year-old.
It now seems that Docherty’s time at Rangers is certainly coming to an end, with Hull City leading the way for his signature.
Hull are expected to be among the front-runners for League One promotion next season, and joining the Tigers could well be a good option for Docherty, as he has proven to be a top performer in England’s third tier before.
