Vaclav Hladky recently said that Glasgow Rangers want him.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are interested in securing the services of Hladky on a free transfer next summer.
It has been reported that the Gers want to sign the 28-year-old goalkeeper on a pre-contract in January.
The Ibrox club are claimed to be looking at the Czech goalkeeper as a replacement for Wes Foderingham, who is out of contract at the Scottish Premiership giants at the end of the season.
Hladky himself said that Rangers are interested in him and negotiations are underway, as quoted in The Scottish Sun.
However, Gerrard has said that Rangers are not looking at the 28-year-old.
Gerrard told The Daily Record when asked about Hladky: “That’s just all his agent. He must be telling him that. I know nothing about that.”
Title race
Meanwhile, Rangers will head into the two-week international break level on points with bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic.
The Gers are going strong in the league title race at the moment, and it is clear that they are going to take it down to the wire.
