Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has defender Ibrox star Alfredo Morelos.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told the Daily Record that he disagrees with Gordon Strachan’s comments about Alfredo Morelos.
Morelos has been one of Ranger’s top performers this season alongside Allan McGregor, and his goalscoring record is nothing short of sensational under Gerrard.
The Colombian has smashed 17 goals in 30 games for Rangers this season, and has become a talismanic figure for the club in just his second season at Ibrox.
However, Morelos hasn’t had a perfect season, as his disciplinary problems have become a major issue for Rangers, with many criticising the former HJK Helsinki man.
With 12 yellow cards and three reds, Morelos has been a loose cannon for Rangers, but as their only major goal threat, the Gers need to rely on him.
Ahead of tonight’s Europa League clash with Rapid Vienna, ex-Celtic boss Strachan slammed Morelos, telling Paddy Power that he thinks Rangers is ‘too big’ for Morelos.
Gerrard has been asked about those comments, and has admitted that he strongly disagrees with Strachan, but isn’t too bothered about what any ex-Celtic manager has to say about his team.

“I wasn’t aware of any comments that were made, but if that’s what was said I’ll have to disagree with the Alfredo one,” said Gerrard. “He has scored 17 goals and his form is very good, so I’ll have to disagree with that one.”
“It doesn’t irk me. If I had an opinion on Celtic when Gordon was manager then I don’t think he would have taken too much notice of it. Therefore, I don’t think I’m going to take too much notice of what an ex-Celtic manager says about my team,” he added.
