Rangers appear to have picked up a new fan in Jamie Carragher – who was a self-professed ‘big Celtic man’.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told Rangers TV that he thinks he is ‘just getting there’ in his attempts to turn Jamie Carragher into a Gers fan.
Carragher and Gerrard reunited last weekend to play for a Liverpool Legends team against Rangers Legends last weekend, with Gerrard even playing for the Rangers side in the second half.
The pair don’t exactly get to see much of each other nowadays, having spent so long together at Liverpool, so seeing them in action again last weekend was a great moment for many.
After the game, Carragher told The Herald that he used to be a ‘big Celtic man’, but has started to change his allegiance with Gerrard now at Ibrox.
Carragher even claimed he now follows Rangers on Twitter to see all the videos of the togetherness at Ibrox, seemingly confirming that he’s shifted from one side of the Old Firm to the other.
Now, Gerrard has been asked about the matter, and he admitted that he has been trying to move Carragher over from Celtic to Rangers, and thinks he’s finally getting somewhere now.

Gerrard added that it was ‘fantastic’ to play with Carragher again given how little they see of each other now, but it sounds like he may well get some visits from his former Liverpool teammate given his new-found love for Rangers.
“I know. We’ve tried to move him over. I think we’re just getting there now,” said Gerrard. “I spent 17 years sitting next to Jamie Carragher and then all of a sudden I don’t see him as much anymore. To go and enjoy a game of football and be around him again for the day is fantastic,” he added.
