Rangers beat Ross County 4-0 away from home last night.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told Rangers TV that he thought right back James Tavernier was ‘immaculate’ against Ross County on Wednesday night.
The Gers made the trip to the Highlands last night, and were looking to turn in a more impressive performance than they served up in Sunday’s unconvincing 2-1 win over Motherwell.
That’s certainly what boss Gerrard got, as Rangers raced into a 3-0 lead in the first half, with Alfredo Morelos opening the scoring from close range before two smart Ryan Jack finishes added to the scoreline.
Morelos got his second and Rangers’ fourth after the break, securing a 4-0 win for Rangers and ensuring that they kept pace with Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
After a tricky game against Motherwell, this is exactly what Rangers needed, and right back Tavernier will be pleased with his part in the 4-0 victory.
Captain Tavernier has been slammed of late for some poor form, not only in open play – such as his costly defensive mistake at Hearts – but also from the penalty spot, and fans called for him to be taken off penalties after failing again in the Motherwell clash.
Gerrard begged for fans to support Tavernier and stick by him, and felt he responded with an ‘immaculate’ performance against Ross County having been in the firing line of late.

Gerrard added that Rangers fans are some of the best in the world, but he just wanted to make sure that they supported Tavernier, and believes them getting right behind him last night helped him produce a strong display.
“Tav was superb, I’m pleased for him,” said Gerrard. “Obviously he’s been in the firing line of late, but I thought he was immaculate tonight.”
“I’ve been a player when things are not going your way, and you’re in the firing line, and you’re fighting to get your top form back, the last thing you need is teammates getting on your back, your manager getting on your back, supporters oohing and ahhing. The supporters here are fantastic, they’re up there with the best in the world, there’s no doubt about that, but sometimes I need to plea just for a bit of support for maybe an individual, and that’s what I’ve done, and I thought they got right behind James tonight, and it’s no surprise he performed really well,” he added.
