Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has raved about Lassana Coulibaly’s display on debut in the Europa League on the club’s official website.

Coulibaly was given a start for Rangers against Osijek, and he helped the Ibrox side to a 1-0 win on their travels.

Coulibaly’s defensive qualities were very evident during the contest, and Gerrard was full of praise for the powerful midfielder after the match.

The Rangers boss said: “Lassana was majestic and he covered every blade of grass. He was tough, he won tackles, he won duels, he gave us energy and he broke play up for us.
