Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers won 4-1 on Sunday – a first away win of the season – but Steven Gerrard questioned his decisions.

Steven Gerrard has admitted to Rangers TV that he questioned his team selection at times during Sunday’s 4-1 win at Hamilton.
The hosts looked set to win a point against Gerrard’s side after Steven Boyd’s wonder goal on 80 minutes cancelled out Ryan Kent’s first-half opener to make it 1-1.
But two penalties from James Tavernier and another from Alfredo Morelos in the final six minutes added gloss to the scoreline and somewhat flattered Rangers after an ‘average’ performance, according to the Gers manager.
Gerrard gave Jordan Rossiter a first start of the season, and also recalled Nikola Katic and Andy Halliday, and the 38-year-old admits there were times when he wondered if he should’ve chosen them.
Asked by Rangers TV about the selection of Rossiter, Halliday and Katic, he said: “It worked now standing here, but there were times when, at 1-1, I wondered whether I should have made those changes.
“I’m not too pleased with the display. I thought we were average at best.”
It was Rangers’ first away win of the Premiership season and they remain five points adrift of top-of-the-table Hearts, and two adrift of Celtic.
