Glasgow Rangers winger Glenn Middleton played well for Steven Gerrard’s side at Ibrox on Saturday.

Gerrard made the comments following Rangers’ 3-0 win against Livingston at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
Middleton played well for the Gers and was crucial in Daniel Candeias opening the scoring for the Gers in the 20th minute.
Rangers manager Gerrard was pleased with the display produced by the 18-year-old winger, and the Liverpool legend has admitted that he needs to manage the Scotland Under-21 international well from now on.
Gerrard told Rangers’ official website: “Glenn is doing fine and I just need to manage him really well now he is in the starting XI.
“There will be a time where I am going to have to protect him as well as he is still very young, but I am very pleased with Glenn, certainly in the last two weeks but from day one he has shown a great attitude.”

Promising talent
Middleton had to work hard to establish himself in the Rangers starting lineup, and the former Norwich City prospect is doing well now.
The Scottish youngster is only 18 years of age, and he is bound to have some bad games and will suffer a dip in form at some point.
It is great that Rangers manager Gerrard plans to manage Middleton well, as the winger will have to be handled properly for him to make the best impact he possibly can.
