Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers won against Bury at Ibrox.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
The Gers got the better of Bury 6-0 at Ibrox in a pre-season friendly match on Friday evening.
It was Liverpool legend Gerrard’s first game in charge of Rangers, having been appointed in the role earlier this summer.
The former England international midfielder has praised the performance of his team, and has stated that he was pleased that the Gers kept a clean sheet.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun: “It was exactly what we were looking for – a good, strong, positive win full of energy.
“We asked for desire and commitment and we got it. The most pleasing thing for me was the clean sheet.”

Strong start
Rangers were always going to win against Bury, and their performance was very encouraging and brilliant.
The Gers were always in control of the match, and the Glasgow giants could have actually scored more goals than they did.
A strong crowd of 41,015, as stated on Rangers’ official website, must have enjoyed the performance and the result thoroughly.
Jamie Murphy, Nikola Katic, Scott Arfield (two), Alfredo Morelos and Zak Rudden were the goalscorers for Rangers.
