Kieran Tierney helped Celtic pick up a 3-0 win over Anderlecht yesterday evening.

Steven Gerrard of Liverpool looks on during the International Friendly match between Sydney FC and Liverpool FC at ANZ Stadium on May 24, 2017 in Sydney, Australia.

Steven Gerrard has told BT Sport, which was broadcast on 28th September, that he has been very impressed by Celtic defender Kieran Tierney.

Tierney was once again a stand out performer for Celtic, as they beat Anderlecht 3-0 in the Champions League last night.

The Scottish international set-up the Bhoys’ first goal in the contest, as he squared the ball across for Leigh Griffiths to score.

And Gerrard believes that Tierney’s strong form for Brendan Rodgers’ side is sure to have sparked interest from a number of teams.

“Excellent left-back, he’s an attacking full-back,” the Liverpool legend said. “I’m sure that a lot of sides are watching him.”

Tierney is under contract at Celtic for a long time yet, and signing him would surely be an expensive move for any side.

Celtic’s victory over Anderlecht was hugely impressive, and puts them in a strong position in their group.

The Bhoys dominated in Belgium, with Griffiths, Patrick Roberts and Scott Sinclair all getting on the scoresheet.

If Celtic can avoid defeat at home against Anderlecht in the reverse fixture, they are very likely to ensure they avoid finishing bottom of their group now, which was Rodgers’ aim this season.
