Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool earlier today.
Steven Gerrard has told BT Sport, during their live coverage of Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Liverpool, that Mauricio Pochettino’s side don’t have a player with ‘x-factor’ now they have sold Gareth Bale.
Spurs lost 2-0 to Liverpool at Anfield, after putting in one of their worst performances of the season.

And Gerrard believes that Tottenham no longer have a true match winner in their team.

“I think Spurs miss a player with real x-factor, like a Gareth Bale, who they let go,” Gerrard said. “They also have issues down the left side when Danny Rose is missing. They’ve had a poor performance and a poor day.”
Tottenham sold Bale to Real Madrid back in 2013 for a world record fee, and they had little chance of holding on to a player of the Welshman’s quality.

Spurs have often been accused of lacking a match winner since his departure, though.
Tottenham have, on occasion, lacked a spark when playing against the top teams in the Premier League.
And Pochettino’s men’s lack of an individual match winner was highlighted at Anfield today, as they rarely threatened.
Liverpool scored twice in the first half through Sadio Mane, and Spurs never looked capable of making a comeback.
Despite the defeat on Merseyside, Tottenham remain in second place in the Premier League table.
