Rangers have agreed a deal to bring Scott Arfield to Ibrox.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has told the club’s official website that he is delighted to have made Scott Arfield his first signing earlier today.
The Gers ended their season with a bizarre 5-5 draw at Hibernian on Sunday, and the attention has already turned to next season and Gerrard’s first campaign as a manager.
Director of football Mark Allen is looking for new signings, and he has already landed one by bringing Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield to Ibrox today.
Arfield, 29, was born in Scotland and started out his career with Falkirk before heading to Huddersfield Town and Burnley, making his name with the latter.

The Canadian international has made almost 200 appearances for Burnley, but with his contract expiring this summer, he has decided to return to Scotland with Rangers.
Arfield has penned a four-year deal with Rangers today, and marks the first arrival of the Steven Gerrard era as the Gers start their summer transfer business early.
Now, Gerrard has offered his reaction to the club’s official website, stating that he is ‘delighted’ to have landed Arfield and feels he is both talented and competitive, with Gerrard happy that Rangers are starting their work now.
“I am delighted to have added Scott Arfield to the squad for next season,” said Gerrard. “He is a talented and competitive midfielder who has competed at a high level in the English Premiership and internationally for Canada. It’s pleasing also that we have been able to start our rebuilding process so quickly after the end of the season.”
“There is much more to be done of course as we look to build towards our Europa League campaign which will start in early July. Scott is the first one in and I look forward to working with him and the others who will be coming in to strengthen the squad,” he added.
