Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has suggested on BT Sport 3 (10:20pm, October 21, 2021) that he will not leave for Newcastle United.
As you can from the exchange with the BT Sport journalist below, Rangers manager Gerrard made it clear that he is happy at Ibrox.
The Rangers manager said on BT Sport 3 (10:20pm, October 21, 2021): “Do I look happy? Do I look settled? Don’t ask me silly questions then.”
Gerrard made the comments following Rangers’ 2-0 win against Brondby IF at Ibrox in the Europa League tonight.
The former Liverpool manager has been linked with the Newcastle managerial role.
The Northern Echo have reported that Gerrard is being considered by Newcastle’s new owners, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).
The report has even claimed that Gerrard, 41, is interested in the role at St. James’ Park.

However, Gerrard’s comments tonight suggest that he is not planning to leave Rangers now.
After all, the Gers could progress further in the Europa League this season.
Oh, let’s not forget that Rangers are planning to beat bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title for the second season in a row.
In our view, it was always unlikely that Gerrard would leave Rangers for Newcastle.
And the Liverpool legend’s latest comments indicate just that.
