Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have impressed in their first few appearances under Steven Gerrard’s leadership.

Goldson was signed for Rangers from Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this summer, and the centre-back has made a brilliant impression already.
Goldson has helped to tighten up Rangers’ defence significantly, with the centre-back being completely dominant since moving to Scotland.
And Gerrard said: “He’s been superb both on and off the pitch since the day he rolled in and he’s a huge player for us.
“He’s the reason why we are looking so solid with his communication, his organisation and he is posting very, very strong performances.
“That is the reason he is vice-captain here, I trust him and I’m really enjoying watching him at the moment.”

Rangers’ defence has arguably been the most impressive department in the team since Gerrard took charge.
Rangers looked porous last season, but they have been very hard to break down throughout Gerrard’s time in charge so far.
Rangers have still not conceded more than one goal in any game so far this season, and they kept a clean-sheet at the weekend, despite being reduced to 10 men in the first half.
Gerrard’s side beat St. Mirren 2-0 to continue their unbeaten start to the new campaign.
Rangers are next in action on Thursday, when they take on Maribor in the Europa League, and Goldson could feature again.
