Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told the Daily Record that there could be more signings to come at Ibrox soon.

The Gers have been pretty quiet in this month’s transfer market, but they did finalise a deal for Aberdeen winger Scott Wright earlier this week.

Wright will arrive in the summer having signed a pre-contract agreement, with Rangers potentially keen on a permanent move this month.

Now, Gerrard has admitted that Rangers are hoping to have more news in a matter of days, with the Gers looking into a number of situations.

“We’re hoping to have some more news in the coming days with certain situations we’ve been looking into,” said Gerrard.

So what is Gerrard referring to? Well, the reasonable guess is a double move for Bournemouth duo Jack Simpson and Nnamdi Ofoborh.

The Scottish Sun reported over the weekend that Rangers have agreed a pre-contract deal with midfielder Ofoborh, and he will arrive in the summer.

Rangers also want to land teammate Simpson, though the Gers may have to wait until next season unless they can convince Bournemouth to sell.

With winger Wright on board, adding a centre back and midfielder in Simpson and Ofoborh will add even more depth to Gerrard’s already strong squad.
