Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have been back in training with new boss Steven Gerrard.

Pedro Caixinha and Graeme Murty both took control of Rangers’ first-team for stages of last campaign, but were unable to fully tighten up the Light Blues’ backline.
And Gerrard has suggested that his first priority at Ibrox will be making sure they are more aggressive without the ball next term.
He said: “Out of possession I want my team to be aggressive, they have to be prepared to go where it hurts to defend the badge and the goal.

“The big problem at Rangers last year was we conceded too many goals, sloppy goals, unnecessary goals. That’s why the season was a grind and a slog, and probably the reason that I’m here.”
Gerrard has already been quick to strengthen Rangers’ defence, with plenty of new recruits added.
Rangers have brought in Conor Goldson, Nikola Katic and Jon Flanagan to strengthen their backline, while Allan McGregor could well be their first choice in goal next term.

Gerrard has been back working with Rangers’ players in training for over a week now, as he looks to implement his style ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Rangers’ first competitive action of the new season comes on 12th July, when they take on Shkupi in Europa League qualifying at Ibrox.
