Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told Sky Sports that he thinks Cedric Itten is physically ready to make an impact at Ibrox.
The Gers pounced to sign Itten earlier this month, luring him over from St Gallen in his native Switzerland.
Itten, 23, was a star at St Gallen last season, smashing 20 goals and seven assists in all competitions.
Itten is big and strong at 6ft 2in tall, and showed his aerial prowess with a number of headed goals last season.
The Swiss striker brings Rangers something different with that target man presence, and he has already made two appearances for the Gers.
Itten came off the bench for cameos against St Mirren and St Johnstone, with 45 minutes now under his belt in a Rangers shirt.

With Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe also at the club, Itten has real competition for a starting role, and Gerrard has commented on his current situation.
Gerrard has admitted that he has already seen that Itten is physically ready for action in Scotland, but he will need to get up to speed and settle into such a big club, meaning a substitute role is likely for a while yet.
“Cedric has come from a different club, he is a young lad, it is a big move for him so he’ll need a little settling in period to get up to speed but he is certainly ready physically,” said Gerrard.
