Gerrard’s Rangers will take on Spartak Moscow at Ibrox in the Europa League Group G on Thursday evening.
The Gers won their last Europa League match at home, getting the better of Rapid Vienna 3-1 at Ibrox earlier this month.
The fans were brilliant for Rangers and helped push the team to victory, and Liverpool legend Gerrard has urged the supporters to repeat that support against Spartak on Thursday evening.
Gerrard told The Telegraph: “I was happy with every aspect of our last performance against Rapid.
“We managed to get in front and we scored late on. We did so much work in the first half, matching their aggression and grinding them down.
“We got our rewards late on. The atmosphere was excellent. All the talk afterwards was it was like the atmosphere of old. It drives the team on. I felt it as a player myself. We have to ignite it all, though, with our performance.”

Big game at Ibrox
Rangers are going strong in the Europa League at the moment and do have a good chance of progressing to the knockout stages of the European competition.
The Scottish Premiership club are at the top of Group G with four points from two matches, and they will fancy their chances of picking up all three points from this evening’s encounter with Spartak at Ibrox in Glasgow.
