Rangers boss Steven Gerrard isn’t ruling out further transfer business at Ibrox this summer.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is seen during the Pre-Season Friendly match between Rangers and Wigan Athletic at Ibrox Stadium on July 29, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard spoke to reporters last night, and responded when asked whether there would be any further incomings or outgoings at Ibrox between now and transfer deadline day in around three weeks time, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times.

Gerrard has already been incredibly busy this summer, bringing in 11 new faces, including the likes of Connor Goldson, Ryan Kent, Scott Arfield and Jamie Murphy.

The Gers have also lost a lot of big characters this summer, however, including Kenny Miller, Bruno Alves and David Bates.

And Gerrard admitted that there could very well be further exits from Ibrox this summer, if the club receive offers that are too good to turn down, whilst refusing to rule out making more additions.

Gers boss Gerrard told the Glasgow Evening Times:

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is seen during the Pre-Season Friendly match between Rangers and Wigan Athletic at Ibrox Stadium on July 29, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

“We’re at a club where every player does have a price so that might affect us in the next 24 hours but we’ll have to deal and face that if and when it happens. At the moment I’m looking at my phone and hoping Mark Allen doesn’t phone me in the coming hours. But I can’t sit here and say we won’t be affected in the next 24 hours. We might be. We’ll have to wait and see. I’m really, really happy. Our business has been good. If we don’t make another signing then I’m happy with the squad we’ve got. Unless something major happens in the next 24 hours with someone making a bid for one of our players that we can’t resist then I’d be satisfied.”

Many expect Rangers to push Celtic all the way for the Scottish Premiership title his season, but if they are to have any chance whatsoever of toppling their bitter rivals, Gerrard must surely bring a few more quality additions into Ibrox before the transfer window slams shut on August 31st.
