Rangers face FC Ufa in the Europa League play-off round first leg at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard has been quoted by the Scottish Herald as saying that Rangers defender Lee Wallace could make a sensational return to the Gers line-up – almost a year after last pulling on the Light Blue shirt.
The Scottish giants go up against Russian side FC Ufa on Thursday night in the Europa League play-off round, with just two matches separating them from qualifying for the group stage of the competition.
The Gers have seen off FK Shkupi, NK Osijek and Maribor to reach this stage, but Gerrard has seen his side suffer injuries along the way. Lassana Coulibaly has been ruled out, while Jamie Murphy is out for the entire season.
But in his pre-match press conference, Gerrard made a surprising announcement by claiming that 31-year-old Wallace could make his first appearance for Rangers since September 15 last year against Ufa.
“He’s not involved in the Lafferty deal. He’s got a year left here. There is a possibility he might be involved tomorrow,” Gerrard said.
Former Hearts defender Wallace has been sidelined with a niggling groin injury he picked up in September last year against Partick, before being suspended from the club at the end of the 2017-18 season along with Kenny Miller.

Gerrard has always stressed that Wallace has a future at Ibrox, despite signing Jon Flanagan and Borna Barisic. Wallace was even linked with a move to Hearts, as part of the Kyle Lafferty deal, but he could now play on Thursday.
It remains to be seen where his long-term future lies, with less than 12 months remaining on his current contract.
